Next generation interaction from Amazing Interactives™

The University of Teeside’s Virtual Reality Centre has launched a new breed of VR technology capable of offering interactive 3D graphics on standard multi-media equipment.

Traditional multi-media in an average application are a series of pre-recorded sequences strung together to perform the same way every time the user presses a button. Amazing Interactives™, with a specially developed "interactions engine", breaks away from this approach and allows visitors to fully create their own scenarios and see the effects accordingly.

The VR Centre develops creative VR-solutions for the Attractions, Museums and Galleries sector, where projects include storyboarding, software development and complete creative design treatment.

Applications range from explorable virtual-science to heritage-artefacts to life-sized interactive virtual characters displayed on 3D-stereo-vision.

The VR Centre is also looking closely at team and mission-based interactives.
